2023 Dollhouse Project Inc. Update

2023 was a major year for The Dollhouse Project!

This year we hosted four events across San Francisco reaching more than 300 kids and grownups! Donors contributed more than 100 dolls via our wishlists, and we secured nonprofit status, so financial gifts are tax-deductible. Read along for more about our first year and how you can get involved!

January 2023 was the Dollhouse Day launch event @ Community Well—we had more than 70 attendees and distributed 50+ dolls! This was our first event and proved the idea that the our community is hungry for family focused events that combine fun and representation!

In May we hosted two events: Dollhouse Day at 826 Valencia, thanks for a Dreamkeeper grant from En2Action. Later we had a Pay-What-You-Can screening of The Little Mermaid on movie opening night, where we distributed Little Mermaid dolls to the first 40 kids in attendance!

In December we hosted Dollhouse Day at Winter Wakanda in the African American Arts & Culture Complex. The biggest event this year, we had more than 100 guests during the day and gave away more than 70 dolls!

Partnerships

These events would not have been possible without support from organizations across San Francisco. Thanks to the community partners that made this year possible: Community Well, 826 Valencia, the African American Arts and Culture Complex, and En2Action.
